A licensed gold mining company, built for Uganda.
Burlcore Mining Company Limited is a medium-scale gold producer with a licensed concession in Busia, Uganda, within the Lake Victoria Green Belt. We combine formal, regulated mining with sustained investment in the community that hosts us.
Burlcore is a Ugandan gold mining company, licensed, local and long-term.
Burlcore Mining Company Limited was established in 2023 to develop a medium-scale gold operation in Busia District, Eastern Uganda. Our concession sits inside the Lake Victoria Green Belt, the auriferous corridor running across the Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania borderlands that has been mined, in one form or another, for generations.
We are a formal operator. Burlcore holds the licensing required to operate a medium-scale mine in Busia, works under continuous oversight from the Directorate of Geological Survey and Mines (DGSM), and complies with Uganda's environmental framework. Our gold moves through documented, traceable channels, from pit to point of sale.
Just as importantly, we are a local operator. The majority of our workforce is drawn from Busia. Our community programme, run in coordination with district authorities and traditional leadership, covers water and sanitation, transport infrastructure, education, health access and women-led enterprise. We mine here because we are committed to being here for the long term.

How the operation actually works.
We publish the operating facts that matter: where we mine, what we produce, who regulates us, and how material flows from extraction to formal sale. Specific volumes, financials and counterparty terms are not disclosed publicly; they are shared with regulators and bona fide counterparties under the appropriate agreements.
