The Busia concession is a gold operation. Ore is processed on site under DGSM oversight, with doré exported through licensed, permitted channels.

We operate to modern mine-safety standards: mandatory PPE, structured shift patterns, on-site safety officers, documented incident reporting and regular training. Safety performance is reviewed continuously, not just after incidents.

Burlcore operates under DGSM environmental compliance, employs local Busia residents, and follows responsible sourcing protocols aligned with LBMA and OECD due-diligence guidance. Responsibility is treated as an operational feature, not an add-on.

We actively rehabilitate disturbed ground, manage water and tailings under NEMA guidance, and run biodiversity stewardship programmes across the Lake Victoria Green Belt. Environmental care is built into the mine plan, not retrofitted at closure.

Water use is monitored and reported, and tailings are managed under engineered containment aligned with Uganda's environmental framework. We report on environmental performance to regulators on the schedule set by our permits.
